What it takes to be a Success!
Everybody wants to be a success, but not everybody is willing to give what is takes to be a success.
But what is success?
Success can mean different things to different people. For example, for a hair stylist, success can be servicing 50 people a day while someone who loves music might consider success to create their own album. Success does not always have to involve money.
Success could be passing a difficult test or an examination or learning how to play the piano.
It comes in all different shapes and forms with one common denominator: success is important and it entails hard work and the appropriate mindset to be reached.
Here are some key guidelines that help me make a difference on my way to achieve success; these small tips made me a better person and proven to guide me faster and safer to the success I was seeking.
1.Don’t Look Back
Everyone is facing failures, mistakes or results that do not make them feel comfortable and keep them locked in the past. To become successful, you need to learn from your past experiences, value the lessons they taught you and move on with the wisdom gained by focusing in the present.
2.Dare to Dream
In order to succeed, you need to have dreams close to your heart. Be honest with yourself as to what you really desire out of life and what you are willing to invest for this much-desired life. Allow yourself to dream BIG.
You might think there is no correlation between complaining and success when in fact there is a big connection. When you are spending time complaining, you are wasting so much time, energy and focus in being negative. Instead of thinking of challenges as problems, think of them as opportunities to learn and grow. My Teacher and Mentor, Bob Proctor, once told us “Everything is Good.” And in fact, everything is good all the time.
A positive mental attitude will help you succeed faster and in greater ways. It has been proven in many studies that a person living in a happy state, generally gets much further in just about everything they do. Bad attitude can pull you down whereas good and happy attitude brings joy, health and wealth.
5.Be Eager to Learn
Referring back to the analogy of Edison, when asked about his failures by a young boy, Edison commented: “Young man, I didn’t fail 10,000 times, I just discovered 10,000 ways that it did not work.” As you move towards your specific success, always enjoy opportunities to learn and grow, even if it seems more time-consuming than you think it should be.
6.Don’t Give Up
To reach success, you have to be persistent. Thomas Edison teaches us how valuable this is. When he was creating the incandescent light bulb, it took him more than 10,000 tries to get it right. Keep getting motivated even when it becomes challenging.
7.Focus on the Big Picture
As you are heading towards success, you will come across challenges. Choose your battles wisely. Focus on the bigger picture and give your attention and energy where it is really necessary for the accomplishment of your goal. Use your mental muscles, in order to stay focused and concentrated on your goal.
No matter what your goal for success is, you should always find time to study. If you want to be a veterinarian, study animals. If you want to become an architect, study the latest trends in architecture. Whatever your success is, take time to read, research, ask, and communicate with successful people in your field. You should also consider volunteering at the local veterinarian’s office or architect’s office. Ask if you can follow them around for a day or two and without getting in the way, observe, and ask questions.
It is equally essential to business as it is to the personal development and mindset, to invest time, energy and money. Always develop and advance your craft. There is always a greater and bigger understanding; there is always a gap to bridge and thinking to sharpen.
9.Apply What You Learn
Apply what you have learned through each phase of the process. Practicing what you have learned is a much more powerful technique than simply reading or observing.
10.Fall in Love with an Idea
Fall in love with your success. That may sound funny, though you need to have an intimate passion linked to your success, and be emotionally involved with the results you are expecting. It does not matter what your goal is. Being passionate for the results, you will automatically put energy and effort into it.
There are many more elements to success, which I plan to share in the near future.
